High mileage 7.3 powerstroke
WebJan 20, 2015 · It looks fantastic and has the 7.3 diesel, which I like. This truck looks amazing. But, it has 370,000 miles on it. Usually I wouldn't even consider a vehicle with that many miles but, the more research I do on diesel trucks that more I'm convinced that they will go way beyond a half million miles. WebFeb 26, 2024 · By comparison, the early 7.3L Power Stroke didn’t come equipped with an intercooler (’94.5-‘97), while ’99-’03 engines came with a conventional air-to-air unit. Before even considering how much more efficient it is, the under hood space saving alone makes the 6.7L’s air-to-water intercooler the clear winner in our book.

WebJun 1, 2013 · Remove the oil fill cap while running to look for smoke, and put your palm over it to feel for pressure. Either will indicate cylinder wear. Also if you can inspect the turbo for dirt, and shiney edges. Don't worry about any oil you find in the air inlet before the turbo. That is very common with the Crankcase vent design of these trucks. WebApr 28, 2012 · The 7.3 engine has plenty of torque. Unless your old rig slowed down a lot over the mountains in PA, I’d recommend leaving the 3.73 alone. You are too heavy for 3.55s and the 4.10 is a waste of money. The big turbo won’t gain you anything. Talk to Swamp Donkey about injectors.
